Heckran Cave, located to the west of [[Medina]], is a dwelling for wild [[Mystics]] that houses an underground river. The occupants of the cave have high defense capabilities, and can only be damaged through [[Magic]]. The regional population is led by a fearsome monster known as the Heckran, who still harbors grudge against [[Human]]s though the [[Mystic War]] ended hundreds of years ago. Besides the river and reflectively blue walls, the most interesting feature of the cave is the cratered whirlpool; this pool allows access to the deeper underground river system that terminates near [[Lucca's house]]. From there it is called the [[Vortex Pt]], and forms an easy way of travel between [[Truce]] and Medina. [[Crono]] utilizes this path after defeating the Heckran.
