The Central Regime is the leading world government of [[2300 A.D.]] No details exist concerning its operation or leadership, save that it saw potential in [[Belthasar]]'s [[Chronopolis]] project and funded it under the guise of a military research center. It is unknown if the Central Regime evolved from a rebuilt [[Kingdom of Guardia]] or the militaristic [[Porre]]. The word "Regime" usually describes agressive or oppressive governments, giving the latter some credence. However, this may have been only a quirk of the US translation.
